Wednesday’s forecast: Sunny but cooler

The Charlotte area will remain mostly sunny on Wednesday, but will turn much cooler.

From Tuesday’s high of 84, the mercury isn’t expected to rise above 62 as a cool Canadian high pressure system spreads over the area, according to the National Weather Service.

By Thursday, rain is likely, and it’s expected to linger through Friday.

Highs will dip to 50 Thursday and 57 Friday.

Saturday should see some recovery, with partly sunny skies and a high of 66 forecast.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 63, the Weather Service said.
