1 hurt when car overturns in uptown Charlotte

One person was hurt when a car landed on its roof at South Caldwell Street and East Fourth Street in uptown Charlotte on Friday afternoon, the Charlotte Fire Department said.

Fourteen firefighters freed the occupant in 10 minutes, according to the fire department. The person was taken to a hospital. Emergency officials have not released the person’s condition.

The car overturned at 3:20 p.m. Police have released no details of the wreck.
