Man accused of sexually assaulting teen in 2 NC counties

Authorities in Rowan County have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor over a two-week period in Rowan and Cabarrus Counties.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said Ricky Brian Clark Jr., 33, sexually assaulted the 14-year-old victim multiple times in Rowan County and Concord. The incidents allegedly happened between May 7 and May 21, the sheriff’s office said.

Rowan County officials notified Concord Police about the incidents on May 24, and the agencies led a joint investigation, officials said.

Clark faces several charges, including multiple counts of statutory rape and statutory sex offense, indecent liberties, and charges for first and third degree sex exploitation of a minor, officials said.
