Tega Cay break-ins hit 37 cars, police say
Tega Cay police are still investigating car break-ins over the weekend that targeted at least 37 unlocked vehicles.
Maj. David Nelson of the Tega Cay Police Department said three handguns were taken along with money, keys, sunglasses and wallets. All of the vehicles were unlocked, he said.
The cars were all across the city, mostly on the city’s peninsula area, Nelson said.
The cases are under investigation, but no arrests have been made.
