Charlotte can expect moderate temperatures on Wednesday as clouds begin moving into the area.
Wednesday’s high is forecast to reach 62 degrees, up from 55 degrees at 5 a.m.
The chance of rain is slight across the region Wednesday, although the chance of showers rises Thursday and Friday.
A high pressure system, meanwhile, will move off the East Coast on Wednesday, allowing a warm front to lift north across the region Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service. Thursday’s high could hit 76 degrees.
By the weekend, however, a cold high pressure system will settle into the area. While Friday’s high is forecast to be 62, a low of 36 is expected Friday night and a low of 30 Saturday night.
Saturday’s high is forecast to reach only 51, although it will be sunny.
Sunday’s high will climb a bit to 56, also under sunny skies, according to the latest NWS forecast.
Temperatures are expected to reach 69 Monday and 68 Tuesday under sunny skies.
