Charlotte to reach high 70s Thursday
The mercury is expected to soar to 77 degrees in the Charlotte area Thursday before more rain and possibly thunderstorms move into the region Thursday night.
Showers are likely to continue Friday, when the high will fall to 54 degrees, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.
Lows are expected to drop from 48 Thursday night to 34 Friday night and 28 Saturday night.
Rain will begin moving out by Friday night, and all sun is forecast for the weekend.
Highs, however, will drop to 50 Saturday and 56 Sunday before rebounding to 67 Monday and near 70 Tuesday and Wednesday under sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.
