Gaston’s first rabies case of 2015 confirmed
A fox that tried to bite a person in Belmont is Gaston County’s first confirmed rabies case of 2015.
The fox was impounded after trying to bite the person in the area of Childers and Vine streets, animal control administrator K.M Blankenship said.
A state lab on Thursday confirmed the fox had rabies, Blankenship said.
