Man accused breaking into Independence HS charged

A man accused of breaking into Independence High School early Thursday morning has been charged.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say 26-year-old Jay Choi was arrested around 2:26 a.m.

Police were called to an alarm around 1:33 a.m. at Independence High School, located in the 1900 block of Patriot Drive.

Choi was charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
