A North Carolina man was arrested Friday and charged with felony cruelty to animals after he was seen throwing kittens from a moving vehicle, according to multiple media outlets.
The man was identified as Cesar Alvarez, 27, of Jacksonville, N.C., according to TV station WCTI. At least one kitten was found dead at the site of the report, Onslow County Animal Services Director Howard Martin told the station.
A witness called police after seeing at least two kittens being tossed from the vehicle, reported the Jacksonville Daily News.
Alvarez’s next court court date is Sept. 18, reported the Daily News.
