Nuclear Regulatory Commission to hold meeting on McGuire plant
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold a public meeting April 9 to talk about its assessment of the McGuire nuclear power plant on Lake Norman.
The NRC says its inspection findings were of the lowest safety significance and that plant operated normally in 2014. Summaries are online for McGuire’s Unit 1 and Unit 2.
The April 9 meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the McGuire Energy Explorium, 13339 Hagers Ferry Road in Huntersville.
