Lancaster man wins $100,000 from lottery scratch-off ticket
Spring is off to a good start for a Lancaster man.
Walter “Mickey” Gibson has won $100,000 from the South Carolina lottery, according to a press release.
Gibson, who is retired, purchased the ticket at Jack’s Convenience Store on Pageland Highway, a place he often spends time to chat with customers, drink coffee and purchase scratch-off tickets.
He won the $100,000 on a $5 “Tons of Funds” ticket. Gibson doesn’t have any plans yet for spending the money.
The odds off winning $100,000 in the “Tons of Funds” game are 1 in 432,000. One $100,000 prize is still up for grabs somewhere in South Carolina.
