Harrisburg postpones ground breaking on fire station
A groundbreaking planned for Thursday on a new fire station in Harrisburg has been postponed.
The ceremony with elected officials and public safety workers was set for 10 a.m. Thursday. It was postponed due to scheduling conflicts.
Fire Station No. 3 will house a commercial kitchen, day room, dorm-style bedrooms, restrooms, showers and a decontamination room for three firefighters and two paramedics.
The architectural firm is Stewart-Cooper-Newell. The builder is D.R. Reynolds Co.
