The CMPD officer and his dog found the child, named Madison, two blocks from the toddler’s home, CMPD tweeted. Police did not release the names of the officer and his dog or where in the city the child was found.
CMPD’s Twitter followers complimented the officer and his dog for quickly finding the child after the department received a report about the missing toddler.
“We could all use this piece of good news,” Charlotte City Council member Julie Eiselt said. She was the first person to post a reply after CMPD tweeted the news.
Others soon tweeted similar praise.
This is a GREAT story! We could all use this piece of good news. Thanks @CMPD officers and pup!
