The pedestrian who died Saturday after being hit by two vehicles has been identified as Milton Reid Moore, 57, according to a statement from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police investigators said it happened around 3:35 a.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of Billy Graham Parkway, at Morris Field Drive.

A 2010 Dodge Charger driven by Deon Isaic Inman, 31, was traveling south on Billy Graham Parkway when Moore ran out into path of the vehicle, according to the preliminary investigation.

The Dodge hit Moore, who’s body stopped in the middle lane of Billy Graham Parkway. He was then struck by a Cadillac, police said. The Cadillac swerved into the path of a Ford Fusion driven by Keith Hall, and the Fusion hit the Cadillac in the rear, police said.

The Ford Fusion immediately stopped, but the Cadillac continued on Billy Graham Parkway. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Detectives are investigating to determine if alcohol or speed contributed to the crash. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk and the intersection has no pedestrian signals. Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's major crash investigations unit are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the light-colored Cadillac that fled the scene.
