2 Myers Park students hit by truck while boarding school bus in south Charlotte
Two Myers Park High School students were injured Thursday morning after they were struck by a truck in south Charlotte.
The incident happened in the 800 block of Scaleybark Road shortly after 6:30 a.m., Medic reported, and happened while they were attempting to cross the street to board a school bus.
One student was taken to Carolinas Medical Center for injuries not considered life-threatening, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools official said. A second student was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, CMS said.
The students who were already on the bus were safely taken to Myers Park High School. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools are investigating the incident, CMS said.
