Charlotte ministry still looking for holiday food donations
A west Charlotte ministry that provides free Thanksgiving dinners to the needy is still looking for turkeys, its pastor said Monday.
Rev. Brenda Stevenson of New Outreach Christian Center said she needs about 10 more turkey donations to provide holiday meals.
New Outreach feeds about 500 people on site and delivers about 300 additional meals, Stevenson said. The ministry, which relies on food donations, is still short.
The ministry is at 3900 Gossett Ave., Charlotte, 28208. It’s open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
