One person has potentially life-threatening injuries following an accident where a car was pinned under a school bus Friday morning, Medic said.

The accident happened on West Boulevard at Holabird Lane near Billy Graham Parkway around 8 a.m., authorities said.

Six students were on the bus with the driver, but none of them were hurt, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools spokeswoman Yaviri Escalera said. She said bus No. 1455 was on its way to Myers Park Traditional School.

A replacement bus was sent to the scene to take the students to school, Escalera said.

The Charlotte Fire Department said it freed a person who was pinned at the scene. Two other people involved in the accident had minor injuries, Medic said.

All three accident victims had been in the car, Medic said, and were taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
