Man with baby reportedly struck by vehicle crossing Charlotte street Friday

A man holding a baby was reportedly struck by a vehicle while trying to cross West Boulevard Friday morning.

Medic tweeted about 11:15 a.m. that it was responding to a pedestrian struck and two patients were transported from the scene to Carolinas Medical Center. At least one had life threatening injuries, reported Medic.

The Observer’s news partner WBTV reports the man was carrying the child when the accident occurred in the 2600 block of West Boulevard.

WSOC reports the incident happened on West Boulevard between Old Steele Creek Road and West Tyvola Road. The station reported the man and child were walking in the crosswalk when struck.
