Tree falls on southeast Charlotte home
No one was injured after a tree fell on a southeast Charlotte home Wednesday morning.
Around 6 a.m., an oak tree fell on a house on Bentley Oaks Lane, off Sardis Road.
A neighbor reported hearing crackling when the tree toppled onto a spare bedroom over the garage of the home.
The resident of the home was out of town when the tree fell.
Piedmont Natural Gas shut off gas to the home, and power also was scheduled to be shut off.
