Charlotte forecast: Sunny but cooler

Thursday will be mostly sunny in the Charlotte region but cooler than earlier in the week.

The high is expected to reach only 67 degrees as cool and dry high pressure builds in from the north Thursday through Friday.

Friday should be all sunshine but with a high of only 66, according to the Greenville-Spartanburg office of the National Weather Service.

Rain is expected to begin moving in Friday night, with a 90 percent chance of showers Saturday. Saturday’s high will hit only 59, the NWS forecasts.

The mercury will rise again Sunday and Monday to an expected 70 degrees, with a chance of thunderstorms Sunday and mostly sun on Monday.
