It’s going to be a wet and windy night in Charlotte
Charlotte has an 80-percent chance of rain overnight, and the National Weather Service is saying it will be accompanied by 24 mph wind gusts and possible thunderstorms.
The low will be only 54 degrees, so there’s no threat of a repeat of last week’s icy roads. However, colder temperatures are on the way later in the week.
The showers and thunderstorms will likely last into Tuesday morning, ending around noon. Wind gusts of 28 mph are possible Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will drop by 20 degrees on Tuesday, with a low Tuesday night of 34 degrees.
Below freezing temperatures will be back on Wednesday, with a low of 31 degrees.
More showers are headed to the area on Saturday and Sunday. However, lows will be above freezing.
