Christian Thomas McCall, 47, of York remains hospitalized at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. His condition was upgraded Monday from fair to good, hospital officials said.
McCall has not been charged in the shooting death of York County Sheriff’s Office Detective Mike Doty or the wounding of three other officers. It remains unclear when McCall will be discharged and could be jailed in Charlotte pending extradition to South Carolina.
McCall’s lawyer, Montrio Belton, declined comment Monday on his client’s medical condition or anything else about the case.
