Milder temps, more sun ahead for Charlotte
If the Charlotte region sees any rain Thursday, it will likely fall late in the day or early in the evening, according to the latest National Weather Service forecasts.
Even then, the chance of showers and possibly thunderstorms stands at only 30 percent.
A low pressure system will track offshore Thursday, and dry air will spread over the region through the weekend, according to the NWS office in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C. Dry and mild conditions are expected into next week.
Thursday’s expected high of 70 will be milder than in recent days but could drop right back down to a high of 64 Friday before rebounding again to a more seasonable 72 Saturday, 76 Sunday and 79 Monday.
While a slim chance of showers remains Friday, the weekend should be all sunshine.
