Seven Park Scholars named from Charlotte area
North Carolina State University’s Park Scholarships program on Tuesday named 39 students to its Class of 2019, including seven from the Charlotte area.
The four-year scholarships are awarded based on outstanding accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service and character. Students from 10 states were selected.
Park Scholars from the Charlotte area are:
▪ From Cabarrus County: Kruti Sanjiv Patel, daughter of Sanjiv and Deena Patel of Harrisburg.
▪ From Catawba County: Abigail Madison Cox, daughter of Roy and Bert Cox of Conover.
▪ From Iredell County: Samantha Logan Freeman, daughter of Joe and Carol Freeman of Mooresville.
▪ From Mecklenburg County: Kelsi Maria Harris, daughter of William and Maria Harris of Mint Hill; and Clarissa Caroline Rainear, daughter of James and Melissa Rainear of Charlotte.
▪ From Union County: Molly Caitlin Mueller, daughter of Andrew and Courtney Mueller of Waxhaw; and Aniket Sachin Palkar, son of Sachin and Sharmila Palkar of Waxhaw.
