CLT passenger numbers hold steady
Passenger traffic at Charlotte Douglas International Airport held steady January through March compared with the same period last year, inching up 0.1 percent, the airport announced Friday.
During the first three months of 2015, 10,344,920 travelers visited the airport. For the same period last year, 10,334,799 passengers flew through Charlotte Douglas, according to figures released by the airport.
International passenger traffic dipped 2 percent, from 645,271 passengers traveling abroad January through March 2014 to 630,638 fliers for the same period this year.
Cargo activity saw a 3 percent jump, from 30,849 tons the first three months of 2014 to 31,647 tons this year.
Charlotte Douglas remains a top 10 airport, according to Airports Council International 2014 preliminary rankings, and is the second largest hub for American Airlines.
