Another hot day ahead for Charlotte
Charlotte temperatures could approach 90 degrees Tuesday before highs drop to the mid-70s by the end of the work week, according to the National Weather Service office in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.
Monday hit 90 degrees, and Tuesday has a predicted high of 89, with a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
The normal high for May 12 is 78 degrees.
Wednesday’s high is forecast to drop to 80 degrees under sunny skies and then to 76 Thursday and 77 Friday.
Thursday should be mostly sunny, while Friday has a 30 percent chance of precipitation.
Saturday could climb to 81, Sunday 84 and Monday 82, with all three days having a 40 percent of showers and thunderstorms.
