CMPD seeks help identifying suspects in robbery; victim alleges attack by 7 males

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s North Tryon Division are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects seen in photos captured during a May 11 robbery.

That day at 7 p.m., North Tryon Division patrol officers responded to the 6100 block of Barrington Drive in reference to a person’s call for service for an armed robbery.

The victim told responding officers that he was walking home from the store when a group of seven males began to follow him. The victim stated that one of the males then approached him and began to punch him in the head with brass knuckles. At that time, the other males began to kick and punch the victim.

During the incident, one of the suspects grabbed the victim’s book bag and work belt and fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries during the robbery.
