A collapsed ceiling injured two Gastonia firefighters Thursday night.
The firefighters, who were battling a house fire on Courtland Drive in Gastonia, were taken to Caromont Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported, according to a Gastonia Fire Department release. Several dogs were rescued.
Twenty-five people and six apparatus fought the fire, which broke out in a two-story home.
The Gastonia Fire Department’s Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
