A lottery ticket sold in Concord is worth $2 million, N.C. Education Lottery officials announced Sunday.
The ticket, which was purchased at the Quik Trip convenience store on Concord Parkway South, won the largest prize nationwide from Saturday’s Powerball drawing, officials said.
Officials did not identify the winner or say whether the prize has been claimed yet.
Another North Carolina ticket, purchased in Greensboro, won $50,000 on Saturday, officials said.
The $2 million ticket beat odds of 11.7 million to 1, officials said.
In comparison, the odds that you’ll be struck by lightning this year are 1.2 million to 1, according to the National Weather Service.
