Pedestrian struck, hurt on Charlotte Motor Speedway after Coca-Cola 600 race

A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a motor home on the infield at Charlotte Motor Speedway Sunday night.

The incident happened around 11 p.m., soon after the conclusion of the Coca-Cola 600 race, Concord police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries, according to Cabarrus County spokesperson Kasia Thompson.
