Fire displaces Charlotte family

Four adults, a child and a dog were displaced by a house fire Tuesday in the 3000 block of Ridge Avenue, off West Boulevard, Charlotte Fire Capt. Jackie Gilmore said.

Twenty-three firefighters controlled the fire in 20 minutes, Gilmore said. No one was injured.

The Red Cross is assisting the family, Gilmore said.
