Water rescue underway at retention pond in east Charlotte

A water rescue got underway in east Charlotte just before noon Thursday.

Divers, firefighters and police were called to the area is just off of Orr Road near Old Concord Road.

From WBTV’s Sky3, divers could be seen suiting up and going into the pond.

We’re working with officials and scene crews to gather more information.
