Charlotte will be noticeably warmer on Thursday
The Charlotte area will be noticeably warmer Thursday as the mercury climbs to an expected 87 degrees with only a slight chance of rain.
Scattered thunderstorms could once again hit parts of the region, but the chance is only 30 percent, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.
New rainfall amounts of less than a 10th of an inch are expected, with higher amounts in thunderstorms.
Friday can expect only a slight chance of thunderstorms, with the chance of precipitation at only 20 percent.
Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny, with a chance of thunderstorms returning Monday.
Highs are forecast to dip to 85 Friday and 86 Saturday before shooting up to 88 Sunday.
