Over the weekend, Forest Hill Church will host services remembering two young boys who died after a car accident north of Wilmington Saturday.

The boys’ father, Gentry Eddings, is a worship leader at Forest Hill’s Ballantyne campus. Their mother, Hadley, was hospitalized for several days to recover from injuries sustained in the wreck. The couple is now staying with family members.

A 3 p.m. Sunday service at Forest Hill’s South Park campus will memorialize 2-year-old Dobbs Eddings and newborn Reed Eddings, who was delivered by emergency caesarian section after the accident and died Monday.

On Saturday, Forest Hill’s Ballantyne campus will host a prayer service for the family at 7 p.m. The Ballantyne campus is at the Morrison YMCA, 9405 Bryant Farms Road.

The address for Sunday’s service at the SouthPark campus is 7224 Park Road. Both services are open to the community.

The Eddings have asked for donations to Mission of Hope Haiti instead of flowers.

By midday Friday, more than 3,000 people had donated $180,407 to a GoFundMe page for the family’s medical expenses.
