Weather turns hotter in Charlotte region

The Charlotte region can expect hotter temperatures beginning Wednesday afternoon, as the high shoots up to an expected 89 degrees. And it won’t let up anytime soon.

Thursday and Friday’s highs are forecast to be 91, Saturday’s 92 and Sunday’s 93, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.

The normal high for this week is 85, meteorologist Danny Gant said.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday have only a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms – a “slight” chance of precipitation.

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny. And hot.
