Charlotte-Mecklenburg police promotes a dozen
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department promoted 12 people Friday.
These people were promoted to sergeant: Dave Abbott, Troy Armstrong, Ericka Conway, Edward Hendricks, Thomas McGarity, Fairley Price, Charles Strong and Jonathan Watts.
The other promotions are: to lieutenant, Keith Caviness and Ryan Kendall; to captain, Tom Gwaltney; and to major, Coerte Voorhees.
