The Charlotte Knights expect to welcome their 1-millionth fan to BB&T Ballpark next week, the team said Friday.

So far, 990,275 people have come to the park in uptown Charlotte for 103 regular season Knights games since last year.

The team led all of Minor League Baseball in attendance last year and also are topping attendance records so far this year, both in total attendance of 302,560 people, and average attendance per game of 9,455.

The team, a AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, expects they will top the 1 million mark either Tuesday or Wednesday when they play the Pawtucket Red Sox.

The 1 millionth fan will get some nice swag from the Knights, including a personalized Knights jersey, autographed Knights baseball, upgraded seats for the game, $1,000 Diamonds Direct gift card, BB&T Ballpark personalized brick, two tickets to the WBT Skyshow Game July 4 and two tickets to the 2016 Triple-A All-Star Game.

The team also served up a few other fun facts about Knights fans. They already drank 3.4 million ounces of soft drinks, 10.6 million ounces of beer and by season’s end, will have consumed more than 708,000 pounds of hot dogs.
