Car crashes through stores in Charlotte’s University City, seriously injuring two

A car crashed through two University City stores Sunday, seriously injuring two people.

The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. on the 8400 block of Ikea Boulevard. A car went straight through The Good Feet Store before crashing into Rack Room Shoes.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, Charlotte Fire and Medic responded to the scene. Medic reported that one person suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Another person was transported to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

A third person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
