Investigators say the shooting happened around 8 p.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of Rozzelles Ferry Road, near the intersection of Interstate 85 and Brookshire Boulevard.

“Upon arrival, officers located a female with a gunshot wound in a parking lot off of Rozzelles Ferry Road,” a press release said.

“She was transported to the hospital by medic and later pronounced deceased by hospital staff. Homicide Detectives are currently canvassing the area to determine whether there are any additional witnesses to this incident.”

Graham’s death is the 11th homicide this year. This time last year, Charlotte had experienced 12 homicides.
