Observer moves to digital Saturdays, with expanded Friday, Sunday print editions
In December, we shared the news with our subscribers that beginning March 7, The Observer will become a digital-only publication on Saturdays.
With this change, subscribers on Saturdays can access our eEdition — a digital replica of the newspaper — with its expanded ExtraExtra section or, for updated live news, our website, charlotteobserver.com. Access to these digital editions is included in your subscription.
The Saturday eEdition will have the same mix of local, national, international and sports news as usual, but in a digital format instead of printed edition.
To recap enhancements we detailed in December:
On Fridays, the newspaper will have new themed pages of positive news added to the A-section. These “Uplift” themed pages will bring you good-news stories to start your weekend and will include a new page of additional puzzles.
The Home | Design section that was published on Saturdays will be in your Sunday paper every other week, beginning March 8.
In your Sunday paper, in addition to the usual comics and puzzles, we’ll publish those that you’ve been seeing in your Saturday paper.
If you are receiving your weekly TV book with your Saturday delivery it will now be delivered on Sunday.
We’ll continue publishing live news updates seven days a week on our website, charlotteobserver.com, and our apps. You can also get news delivered directly to your inbox by signing up for our e-newsletters.
If you haven’t already done so, please activate your digital subscription to take advantage of all of the platforms where our news is available to you. You’ll find easy instructions at www.charlotteobserver.com/activate.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns related to the new delivery method, please give us a call at 800-532-5350 or email us at customerservice@charlotteobserver.com. Our team will do everything possible to ensure your satisfaction.
Thank you for being a loyal Charlotte Observer reader. Your subscription makes a vital investment in local journalism and we’re grateful that you turn to us for your local news and information.
