Whitewater Center reopening ‘limited activities’ starting Saturday in Charlotte

The U.S. National Whitewater Center will resume some activities Saturday, following North Carolina’s Phase 1 reopening for some businesses.

“All locations and activities will have very limited capacities and guests must adhere to social distancing requirements at all times,” according to the Whitewater Center’s website.

Activities available will be mountain biking, flat water kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and whitewater kayaking. Trails will be open, subject to weather conditions.

Food and beverages will be available on a to-go basis. The outdoor gear and apparel store will also be open.

Equipment and surfaces will be disinfected prior to guest contact, according to the website. “Guests will be required to attach their own wristbands upon purchasing a pass,” the center’s website states.
