Police seek driver in I-77 road rage shooting. Victim crashed, critically injured.

Police are searching for a person accused of shooting at a driver during a road rage incident on Interstate 77 in Huntersville.

Police found the victim after responding to a single-car wreck on the I-77 South exit ramp to the I-485 Outer Loop at about 4:45 p.m. June 14. The victim was taken in critical condition to a hospital, police said.

The shooter was in a Kia Optima that had a fake temporary S.C. license plate displaying the name “Adam’s Auto Sales.”

Police said they’re looking for a man about 19 to 22 years old who had a tattoo possibly on the right side of his neck.
