Crews work to control fire at Shelby scrapyard
At least seven fire departments were trying to control a blaze at Auto Parts U Pull & Scrap Metal of Shelby & Charlotte on Saturday afternoon.
Thick plumes of black smoke billowed from the scrapyard near U.S. 74 at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
No injuries were reported.
