The Beaver Moon, as the November full moon is known, was seen partially eclipsed early Friday in the Charlotte skies and around the globe.

The partial eclipse of the full moon was the longest of its kind in 580 years.

At its peak, more than 97% of the moon was in shadow, according to NASA.

But if you didn’t catch it, you won’t see it again: the Beaver Moon is not expected to return for nearly another 600 years.
