Charlotte’s mini-cool streak continues Monday with temperatures only reaching about 87 degrees, which is mild compared with the steamy heat reported much of last week.

No rain is in the forecast for Monday and only a few periods of clouds.

Temperatures start to climb Tuesday into the low 90s, and highs will remain as such through the week, again with little to no rain.

Friday is the day most people will observe the July Fourth holiday, and the high is expected to be 91 degrees.

The best chance of rain in coming days is Saturday and Sunday, both of which have a 40 percent chance.
