CMPD seeks help identifying Albermarle Road robbery suspect

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Armed Robbery Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a robbery last week.

On Friday, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Independence Division patrol officers were called to the 5600 block of Albemarle Road for an armed robbery at a business. The clerk told police that a man entered the business and implied that he had a weapon and demanded property from the business. Once the suspect obtained the property, he fled, police said.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, approximately 5-foot-10, medium build and was last seen wearing camouflage shorts and a white T-shirt.
