There’s a clear favorite among residents in terms of their favorite fast food restaurant, data shows: McDonald’s. The golden arches have seen more visitors across the state since January 2021 than the other most popular chains, Chick-fil-A, Subway, Taco Bell and Wendy’s.

Trends offer insight into how the chains have fared against each other and month to month over the last year.

The data is compiled by SafeGraph, a company that gathers information on foot traffic and spending patterns at businesses.
