Shelby police search for suspect in fatal shooting
Shelby police are searching for a suspect in the fatal shooting Tuesday night of 37-year-old Timothy Lamont Goodlett.
Police found Goodlett in a yard in the 700 block of Buffalo Street at about 9 p.m. He had multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Cleveland Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
Police said they obtained warrants charging Calvin O’Brian Moore with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. He left the area before police arrived and has not been found.
Moore is accused of approaching Goodlett in the yard of a home near Truman Street and shooting at him.
Goodlett ran toward Douglas Street as the gunman continued shooting, police said, then ran to the yard on Buffalo Street before collapsing.
Anyone with information on Moore’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-481-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
