CMPD reunites missing 9-year-old girl with her family

Ka’Mya Yeldell was found unharmed on Wednesday after being missing for nearly a day, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said.

Ka’Mya, 9, disappeared from her home in the 1400 block of Samuel Street in north Charlotte around 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday, police said in a news release. She was wearing a white and orange tie dye shirt and shorts, and white Crocs slip-on shoes at the time of her disappearance, according to police.

Police believe Ka’Mya might have been “emotionally upset” and her family was concerned about her well-being. She was reunited her family after police found her.

CMPD did not say where Ka’Mya was found or how she went missing.
