About 40% of North Carolinians live in a county with an abortion clinic.
All of the state’s 15 clinics are in North Carolina’s more populous counties, such as Mecklenburg, Wake, Forsyth and Cumberland.
Some coastal residents, on the other hand, would have to drive more than 150 miles to the closest clinic.
